If you have a little one...

This is a great video with a great message. Actually it's great for adults too. Very cute. It's really just one story but you have to watch all 3 since they had to break it up in 3 videos.

just another day

in mommy heaven...
Graham chewing on his toys, Evie watching Veggie Tales, mommy with the camera. Nevermind the mess.

We started to get some cute wearing-nothing-but-the-hat-and-a-diaper pictures...

stinky neck

Graham has a neck that is extremely difficult to clean, because you see he has no neck. His chins just kind of melt into his chest. Roll after roll of sweet soft baby lovin'. When he starts to smell we break down and give him a bath. I have to be honest and say he doesn't get bathed nearly as often as his sissy did at that age. And of course you know who always wants to stand on the chair and get her hands wet in his tub. So of course we let her. And we have to take off her shirt too b/c she makes a "big ol' mess" as she says. Today they looked too sweet not to photograph as Graham is sitting up like a big boyin front of the window...in the sink where he always gets his "tubby"...and Evie is just along for the ride.

A Real Website!

I have a new photography website! And a new photography business, I guess you could say. It's called Sprinkles of Light Photography. I also have a new client blog. I'll keep my kids here and my clients on the other one.

what do dolphins eat?

IMG_7971 bw web
I took these pictures about a month ago and just haven't posted them. Evie asked me something like, "Do dolphins eat chocolate balls?" (or some other funny food) and I said, "no they eat little fish." I didn't even think about it but she immediately asked for some goldfish, which I got her, and then she started feeding them to her dolphin. I thought it was funny so I took a picture of it.

Just a happy girl.

She was insistent upon getting all of her books out of the entertainment center and sitting in it and then asked for a flashlight so she could shut the door and still see. So I got the camera and opened the door to find this. The quality is terrible, but I can't bring myself not to post this. This is the kind of thing the grandparents love.

a silver spoon

IMG_8134 color web

I used to think my mom was a little crazy for letting me lick the spoon...or the bowl...or anything that had touched the cake batter or the cookie dough. Why would she pass that up? Did she not know that was the best part of baking something? I always jumped at the opportunity and wondered how she could let me do it instead of doing it herself. Now I understand. It's not that I wouldn't love to lick the spoon, but I know there's a little someone who would enjoy it a little more. Parenting is such a selfless act in itself, and it's funny how it happens without your even giving it a second thought. I never thought I would put someone before myself (except on occasion for Greg ;), but now I do. And it is probably because someone did it for me. So thanks, Mom, for letting me lick the spoon--even though you probably would've enjoyed it yourself.
